Gratitude

Gratitude is a must. It is one of the most powerful influencing factors on happiness.

Gratitude makes abundance of what we already have. Without it we never have enough!

Why Gratitude?

As the old saying goes, ‘if you’ve forgotten the language of gratitude, you’ll never be on speaking terms with happiness.’ Gratitude is always available to us whether we’re alone or with others, and no matter where we are in life.  It is a powerful tool for an immediate mood boost as well as being able to transform longer-term negative thinking feedback loops into positive thinking that in turn attracts more positivity and appreciation in life. If you’re feeling down, the most powerful question you can ask yourself is ‘What am I grateful for?’ In order to cultivate a happy life, an attitude of gratitude is a must!

Science of Gratitude

The benefits of gratitude have been well researched.

Gratitude is one of the best mood-enhancers and is a wonder drug for depression. In fact, it does the same thing that Prozac does: boosts serotonin, and also does what Wellbutrin does: boosts dopamine.

Several studies have shown that depression is inversely correlated with gratitude. Researchers elsewhere found that a manager expressing gratitude to workers led to a 50% increase in productivity! Another study found that a weekly gratitude journal increased happiness 25%.
